  1. They should always relate to the topic of the research.
  2. They should provide sufficient basis for selecting the data to be used for the study.
  3. The language of research question should be clear and unambiguous.
  4. They should be stated in such a way that answers could be found to them.
  5. The number of research questions asked should be enough to cover all the pertinent issues in the research work.

What is the meaning of research problem?

A research problem is a problem a research identify while carrying out a research for a particular project and it can also said to be a statement about an area of concern, a condition to be improved upon, a difficulty to be eliminated, or a troubling question that exists in scholarly literature, in theory, or in practice that points to the need for meaningful understanding and deliberate investigation. Any problem identified while carrying out a research is 80% solve because a research will be able to focus on the problem to solve it. Identifying a research problem in a research is very difficult task because it prevent many organization in carrying out successful research in a given problem. a researcher can carryout a research  for example : a reason for low academic performance in Nigeria or the cause of examination malpractice in Waec,Neco, Jamb result, GCE examination in Nigeria etc.. to be continue .
